Placemat - Menorah Various Antique Artifacts Depicting the Menorah

Amongst the thousands of artifacts from Byzantine and Roman periods discovered in Israel, the symbol of the Menorah was found on reliefs, lintels and mosaic floors. Some of these findings are pictured here with brief explanations. The other side of this placemat shows a section of the beautiful mosaic floor found at the Byzantine Synagogue in Beit Shean.
